I have trained in counselling for ten years and continue to do so in the areas of child counselling, ASD/ADHD, trauma and anxiety. I made it through all the training while personally dealing with many of the issues I now support people through, I feel this gives me an advantage as I can understand the magnitude of what people are facing and the importance of the support I offer in the persons future prospects, this guides my passion for Counselling. I did my degree placement in a school and completed their safeguarding training and hold an enhanced DBS certificate. I also worked for an online company counselling children. I now want to turn my focus onto helping young people in my local area and am trying to source clients of my own.
I am enrolled onto a Children and young persons level 5 advanced specialist training course to start in April.

Who is counselling for?
Counselling can be beneficial for numerous different things, talking, (especially in a space where you are given full attention, acceptance and confidentiality) allows a person to process the thoughts that are weighing you down, to take the power away from them by reframing them and by leaving them behind and lifting away an unjust view of themselves.

How therapy works
usually a course of 6 weekly hourly long sessions is enough to show significant improvement with any of the given issues. Trained in solution focused brief therapy among others, I can also accommodate a longer set of sessions should this be needed. Reviews will be taken along the course of sessions and feedback given to you and/or your parents to discuss the best course of action for you/the client.
I trained with a person centred core but am ultimately qualified as an integrative counsellor: this meaning I have knowledge of a wide range of therapies and can incorporate them into my practice and tailor therapies to each unique individual and their learning styles to gain the best results whilst staying up to date with the latest therapeutic developments and using further training to incorporate them. My supervisor whom I see monthly is also trained this way and works with children too, she advises me what might work best for you or what we maybe haven't considered.
After an email or quick telephone call I would then book you in for an initial assessment to see if we are a good fit take some details from you and see whether you feel I am the right counsellor for you, this Assessment lasts between 60-90 minutes and is £80. After this you can go away and decide whether you would like to book in with me at £54 for individual sessions or at ten percent off its £300 for a six session package.
